Chapter E13- Alexander Spowart Izatt, Part 1- Scotland to Zion Alexander’s father, Andrew, and uncle William Izatt. Latter-day Saint Missionaries come to Scotland. Tragic deaths of Alexander’s mother and father. Uncle William Izatt takes in Alexander, Aunt Jane Izatt Campbell takes in his little brother William. Why Alexander was called “Little Sandy”. Jane Angus wondered why the boys went to Glasgow each week. James Buchannan Gallacher married Janet Izatt and kept a Jounal of their life in Scotland. Little Sandy met Jeanette Williamson. “Little Sandy” left Scotland in 1862 with his uncle William to prepare a place for the rest of the family in Zion. They met William’s sister Janet Izatt Campbell, her family and Alexander’s brother in winter quarters. They traveled across the plains together and shared a tent.
Chapter E14- Alexander Spowart Izatt, Part 2- Seven Pathways to Zion Alexander S. greatly misses his sweetheart Janetta Williamson. Janetta and her family crosses America as Civil War intensifies. An obstacle blocks her train, and another obstacle blocks their romance. William Izatt’s wife in Scotland begins to act strangely. James Gallacher stops calling William Izatt “my father-in-law. Alexander “Big Sandy” and the Izatts cross the plains through a terrifying Indian uprising. Big Sandy seeks romance along the journey. In Scotland a friend finally invites Jane Angus to visit a “Mormon” church which causes a big problem for her. Jane fulfills a prophecy she made as a child. James and Janet Izatt Gallacher make the journey from Scotland to Utah in record time.

Chapter 27- Fay Barney Chamberlain Dating and Marriage Fay Barney Chamberlain, the great-granddaughter of Alexander Spowart Izatt and Jeanette Williamson, was born in Logan, Utah. Both Ernest Chamberlain and Fay Barney would one day express their belief that their love story, eventual marriage and family was meant to be, perhaps even pre-ordained in the heavens. If this is true, the angels assigned the project of getting them together for this romantic first date had their work cut out for them.
Chapter D4- African DNA on Chromosome 11 Traced to 1755 Scotland “Where did my 0.1% sub-Saharan African DNA come from?” I traced my small fragment of western African DNA to my fifth great-grandmother, Jean Mitchell, born in 1755, Alloa, Clackmannanshire, Scotland.
